Habitat for Humanity is a non profit organization that works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses so that there are decent homes in decent communities in which every person can experience God’s love and can live and grow into all that God intends.

Vision Statement:
A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Mission:
Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Habitat in Clare County

Clare County Habitat for Humanity began it's work in 1991. Since that time they have been blessed to be able to create over 25 decent and affordable homes for the residence of Clare County. The new board seeks to continue in Habitat's mission to create descent homes in Clare County for those who seek and are in need of better housing.

Non-Proselytizing Policy:
Habitat for Humanity of Clare County has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any other distinctions that too often divide people. In short, Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and also serves people in need of decent housing regardless of race or religion. As a matter of policy, Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliated organizations do not proselytize. This means that Habitat will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must either adhere to or convert to a particular faith, or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.
